Action Philosophers and Pencil Wounds

I don’t feel like doing a regular comic book review for this, but I’m so thoroughly enjoying The More Than Complete Action Philosophers!, by Fred Van Lente and Ryan Dunlavey that I wanted to mention it.  It’s just so wacky, so funny, so not what you’d expect from a project like this, it’s one of the best random purchases/risks I’ve taken in comics in a while.  If you’re looking for something fun to add to your collection and you aren’t already tuned into this, which began in 2005.

It’s really busy over here at Mayhem & Cuddles Headquarters with various around-the-household work, academia, work-work (the kind that pays the bills), and other writing, but I’m trying to crank out a few strips this week, which is sort of being successful.  So be on the lookout for the last entry in the story of Tess & my’s engagement, as well as at least two more in the next few weeks.

    1. It’s comic book retellings of the histories of various philosophers throughout history basically, with similar comic book-redition versions of their theories and philosophies. It doesn’t sound that funny if you think about it, but it very much defies that un-funny description.
