A collection of most of my fiction writing, both self-published as well as from other publishers.
Buried: Short Stories – Three new short horror stories about unsavory house sitters, weird worlds, and breakdown-inducing hauntings. Sit down for a read during daylight hours, just in case you get paranoid and hear a knock at the door…

Breathing Ghosts – [A] collection of unique and different ghost stories from writer Costa Koutsoutis. Somewhere in the woods, something exists that we just cannot fathom. A horrific crime doesn’t make sense compared to a man’s memory of the killer. A mother comes to visit her child at an important time in their life. A thief gets what is coming to him when a hiding spot seems too good to be true. A family slowly dies, but somehow, life is still okay. Ghosts and the unknown play a part in all of these stories and more, in this latest short story collection.
Running the Train…and Other Stories – Meet P.I. and part-time bondsman Ben Miles. He’s not the best investigator, or the toughest, or even the most competent. But somehow he manages to get the job done, even when he’s in way over his head. […] And he gets in over his head quite a bit. Luckily he’s got far-more competent friends, which in this business, are something that you need in spades. Ben’s gonna need them, dealing with rogue bondsmen, the sex trade, the Midwestern Mafia, and more in this introduction to the character.
A Flash of Doom – He is wizard, scholar, detective, and more. The greatest purveyor of mystic energies to stalk the land battling the dark forces, Sir Ian Quarry is a sorcerer like no other. No threat exists in the dark shadows of the hidden realms that he cannot defeat…or is there?
Carrion At The Door – a collection of subtle horror and modern-noir crime short stories. Unspeakable inhuman terrors under the bed. The actions of desperate people in desperate situations. The terror in the night from the shadows…or the unseen threat of your next-door neighbor. This collection features the original short stories “Apartment Living,” “Diner Food,” “Bedtime,” “This Could Be Love,” and “The Heft Of It,” as well as a brand-new short featuring Ben Miles, PI/bondsman in “Bailout.”
The Follower – Lyle Kinane is a freelance “operator,” a combination private eye and spy-for-hire. When a simple job over a package goes all sorta wrong, Lyle’s cut off in New York City with no clue, no way to stop his ever-increasing panic attacks, and no answers to a head full of questions. But he’s determined to get his life back and get back in the game…good thing he kept the package before getting let go…
Save Changes – Proofreader and researcher-for-hire Lee Kaporis put on a shirt one morning that turned out not to be his. This sends him around old friends looking for a girl with a nose ring that more likely than not has a reason to be hiding, digging up a piece of jewelry, and finding out why someone keeps calling all his clients and employers dropping his name. Every single step of this mystery screams “don’t get involved,” so why does Lee keep going into what is clearly a mystery that’s over his head? (A Smashwords.com exclusive!)

–The Alexandria Archive; I was really excited to have my short story “Labyrinth” be performed in episode 8 of the horror fiction podcast The Alexandra Archive. The show is hosted by “Morning Wood,” college radio DJ from the ominous Alexandria University, “the South’s answer to Miskatonic,” which is a pretty decent description.
– Nightmare Party; Nightmare Party Games is me just messing around with Twine, a free tool for creating online text-based RPG/adventure games. You can check out chapter 1 of my game “Pioneers,” as well as the short “Waukegan” and “Out The Window” on there now.
– “Sky Dance”; A short story exclusive for my website here. Weird horror written in a single sitting of thoughts just put out and ironed out into something interesting and different. I quite enjoy it and I enjoyed writing it.
–“The Woods”; Another short story I wrote to publish here on the website, it came to me while I was on the subway. I actually wrote it on my cellphone based on a random thought for a crime story, but it’s more of a horror story.
–“Writing Workshop, Morning Shift, Friday” @ The Drabble; A piece of mine at The Drabble, a web publication dedicated to fiction and non-fiction told in less-than-100-word bursts.
–“Keep You Warm” in The Worst: A Compilation Zine on Grief and Loss, ed. Kathleen McIntyre, issue 01; A ‘zine I contributed short fiction to.
